Hilo Farmers Market Ranked #1 by Huffington Post as Top U.S. Farmers Market Every Food Lover Should Visit

Hilo Farmers Market Ranked as one of the top destinations for “Go Green, Local Style on the Big Island” by Sara Benson of Gogobot.com

MOTHER EARTH NEWS has named Hilo one of its eight 2012 "Great Places You've (Maybe) Never Heard Of." The best part – the Hilo Farmer's Market is included in the story as one of the reasons why Hilo is so great!

The Hilo Farmers Market is a must-see experience when you are on the Big Island. Over 200 local farmers and crafters sell their produce, crafts, gift items and tropical flowers in a festive outdoor atmosphere that recalls back to the old "plantation" days of early Hilo. Located at the corner of Mamo Street and Kamehameha Avenue in historic downtown Hilo, it's open all year round.

Bill DellasalaBill Dellasala was one of the original vendors when the Hilo Farmers Market started up, back in 1986. Each week, Bill sold fresh bananas, banana plants and fresh Hawaiian Mo Bettah honey.

The Hilo Farmers Market would like to wish Bill well and thank him for his dedication and all the fond memories.

If you were a customer and friend of Bill and would like to wish him the best, he can be reached at (808)967-7785.
