Stairway To Art

The Stairway to Art is a co-operative gallery and by it’s very nature it is a co-operative venture. Artists work together for a common goal. We have great artistic talent here in East Hawaii! The Stairway to Art will provide a well placed venue for a diverse array of art. This venue will respect the member artist’s right to display work of their choice, and by doing so we will promote freedom of artistic expression.

Art with meaning from political to religious are acceptable subjects as well as nudes, abstracts, sculpture, mindscapes, new media, etc, along of course with more mainstream commercial gallery subject matter such as still-lifes florals or tropical landscapes and some beautiful fine craft objects.

The beauty of the co-op formula is that it’s the member artists who decide what work to display, not someone else.

The Stairway to Art is located up one flight above the Hilo Farmer’s Market on Kamehameha Avenue, which is East Hawaii’s best location to reach both the local and the visiter market.

We will do our best to provide a stunning display of fine art and crafts for sale at no-middleman prices that are both fair to the artist and the public from low-end cards to high-end masterpieces and commissions. Private art lessons and mentoring for art students of all ages will also be provided by some of our artists.
